Aniroonz Sheep Company raises Teeswater sheep in Wellington, Colorado, about 20 miles north of Fort Collins along the northern Front Range. The operation is led by Nancy Irlbeck, an animal nutritionist with a PhD in ruminant nutrition and a long career teaching at Colorado State University, and her partner Steve Musick, who brings a background in livestock management and ranch operations.

The flock at Aniroonz has grown out of a longstanding commitment to rare wool breeds, with Teeswaters among the breeds maintained alongside Lincolns, Karakuls, and Wensleydales. Breeding decisions are made with the whole animal in mind, selecting for sound conformation, moderate birth weight, and temperament rather than a single trait. Ewes are evaluated for ease of lambing and mothering ability, and animals that do not meet those standards are removed from the breeding program.

Aniroonz has served as a hands-on learning environment for students and fiber enthusiasts across the region, and the farm has developed a following among hand spinners drawn to the quality and diversity of its fleeces.
