Lucky K Bassets

Lucky K Bassets, Basset hounds, Strawberry Point, IA, Clayton County and the Driftless Area near Dubuque. Bill Knight and Lorri Knight run this family kennel with more than twenty years of experience breeding Basset hounds.

They are active members of the American Kennel Club, follow recommended health screening guidelines for hips, elbows and eyes, and keep their basset hounds in a home setting with a secure fenced yard where puppies receive daily socialization from children and adults alike. Their training philosophy emphasizes positive reinforcement and gentle guidance, helping puppies adapt to various home environments.

Litter evaluations include early temperament training and a gentle introduction to grooming routines. Several alumni have gone on to therapy work and earned obedience titles in local competitions. Each puppy leaves with a custom care packet outlining nutritional guidelines and early training tips. All puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian before joining their new families.
