Lonnie Yoder

Lonnie Yoder raises Percherons in Topeka, Indiana, in Northeast Indiana near Fort Wayne. He has been dedicated to the breed for over a decade, following standards of the American Percheron Horse Association. The family-run farm combines modern pasture rotation with traditional draft horse practices to maintain health and sound conformation.

Each stallion and mare enjoys spacious barns with frequent turnout on gently rolling fields, and foals are introduced to daily handling at an early age. Regular farrier visits, balanced nutrition plans, and routine veterinary checks are part of the program to support strong bones and a calm temperament. Training focuses on groundwork and light draft work, preparing horses for farm chores, carriage driving, or therapeutic programs. Bloodlines are chosen for temperament and sound structure, tracing pedigrees to foundation stock in France and North America.
