Locey Creek Alpacas

Locey Creek Alpacas raises huacaya and suri alpacas in Middlebury Center, Pennsylvania, on a multigenerational family farm in north-central PA. Penny and Steve Cruttenden carry on a farming tradition that spans five generations, working 68 acres that have historically supported horses, cows, and sheep alongside the current alpaca herd.

The program got its start in May 2010, with bloodlines drawn from several champion animals. Selection focuses on fiber characteristics, sound conformation, easy-going dispositions, and strong genetic traits. The herd includes roughly 28 huacaya alpacas and 2 suri alpacas in a wide range of natural colors, from true black and silver grey to rose grey, browns, fawns, and whites.

For those looking for alpacas for sale in Pennsylvania, the farm sits about 10 miles south of Wellsboro, a well-known gateway to the Pennsylvania Wilds region of Tioga County.
