Linhart Limousin
Linhart Limousin has been raising purebred Limousin cattle near Leon, Iowa since 1979, when the operation started with the purchase of five head. Run as a family partnership, the program has grown over the decades to a herd of around 350 females, placing it among the larger purebred Limousin operations in the region.
The farm sits just north of Leon in Decatur County, in the heart of the cow/calf country that spans southern Iowa and northern Missouri — roughly an hour south of Des Moines. David L. Linhart is part of the family partnership behind the operation, which also hosts an annual fall production sale.
