Liberty Hill Farms

Liberty Hill Farms, run by Shannon Garnaat, raises registered fainting (myotonic) goats in Natural Dam, Arkansas, in the northwest corner of the state near Fort Smith. The program focuses on MGR-registered stock with an emphasis on old myotonic bloodlines, strong conformation, and a wide range of color patterns.

Health testing is a firm part of the program. Adults are sold with negative CL, CAE, and Johne's results, and animals under one year are accompanied by their parents' negative test results. Bucks are selected with an eye toward build and lineage, with preference given to animals that are short, wide, and big-boned with long bodies, correct head and ear set, and strong myotonia. The farm has drawn on well-regarded bloodlines from across the MGR registry and has developed its own Liberty Hills line over multiple generations.

The reach of this program extends well beyond Arkansas. Liberty Hill Farms has delivered fainting goats for sale in Arkansas and the surrounding region and has also completed international shipments, including animals now living in a private collection in the United Arab Emirates.
