Leslie Liske

Leslie Liske breeds Shire horses in Marine City, Michigan, in St. Clair County near Detroit. She has been involved with equine care for more than a decade and is a member of the American Shire Horse Association, with routine health evaluations for every foal and adult horse.

Her horses live on spacious, well-fenced, shaded pastures and receive daily handling to develop gentle temperaments and strong social bonds. Foals are raised under attentive watch, benefiting from turnout with older mares for social learning. The facility includes heated stables, well-lit arenas and secure paddocks to ensure comfort year-round.

Each horse undergoes regular farrier work and vaccinations following best practice guidelines. Bloodlines are selected for sound feet and sturdy bone density, reflecting the breed’s traditional draft heritage. Many graduates of her program have excelled in driving classes and farm demonstrations across the region.
