Ledbetter Cattle Co. raises registered Hereford cattle in Wheeler, Texas, a small ranching community in the eastern Texas Panhandle roughly two hours east of Amarillo. The operation is run by Rex McCelvey and is affiliated with Joe Dan Ledbetter, who serves as a director on the American Hereford Association board and holds membership in the Texas Hereford Association.

The herd consists of around 50 cows, including registered Hereford females and commercial recipient cows, reflecting an active genetics program that includes both show cattle and range cattle. Hereford cattle for sale in the Texas Panhandle region have historically come through the operation at state and national consignment sales as well as through the Indian Mound Ranch production sale each fall.

Ledbetter Cattle Co. has been producing registered Hereford genetics for over 15 years, with a program that covers both the show pen and the commercial pasture.
