Langlois Goldens & Berners raises golden retrievers in Allegan, Michigan, situated in West Michigan between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. Kandace Langlois has been breeding golden retrievers since 2008, with five generations of the breed represented in the program through dogs she has owned, raised, and bred herself.

Health testing follows the GRCA Code of Ethics, covering OFA hips, OFA elbows, OFA cardiac, OFA eyes, and DNA screening for genetic diseases. The program is also a member of the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. initiative. Dogs from the kennel actively earn titles across a range of AKC sports and evaluations, including Fast CAT, dock diving, coursing ability tests, canine good citizen, and temperament testing — titles that reflect the trainability and versatility Langlois selects for.

Puppies are placed with consideration for temperament, drive, and the goals of each individual home, and have gone on to work in service and therapy roles as well as in hunting and field settings. Bernese mountain dog puppies in Michigan are also part of the program, rounding out a dual-breed focus on health-tested, well-rounded dogs. Each litter reflects a lineage built gradually over time rather than acquired from outside the program.
