Lancaster's Of Gold Canyon Havanese

Lancaster's of Gold Canyon Havanese has been raising havanese in the Leland, North Carolina area — near Wilmington and the Brunswick County coast — since 2005, when Lucy and Bobbi Lancaster welcomed their first havanese into their home.

The program is intentionally small, with all dogs living as part of the family rather than in a kennel setting. Health testing goes beyond what the Canine Health Information Center requires: breeding dogs are evaluated for hip and elbow dysplasia, Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, patella luxation, cardiac anomalies, liver conditions, and genetic health markers, with eyes rechecked annually. All results are reported to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.
