Knight's Golden Acres

Knight’s Golden Acres, golden retrievers, Amherst, VA is a small family breeder serving Amherst County and the Piedmont region near Lynchburg. Rebecca Knight has been active in the golden retriever community for more than ten years and holds membership in the American Kennel Club’s golden retriever club, with all adults screened for hip and elbow health and cardiac clearances. Puppies are raised in a home environment alongside family pets and young children to ensure early socialization and comfort with everyday sounds. A climate-controlled whelping area and daily veterinary check-ins support puppy health from birth.

The property includes open pastures where pups gain confidence through gentle exposure to farm life and seasonal weather. Feeding and enrichment follow guidelines from breed experts, with nutrition tailored to each growth stage. They also provide microchip placement and up-to-date vaccinations to meet common pet health standards. Several graduates have gone on to support families as therapy dogs or loyal companions in active households.
