Kimm Suffolks

Kimm Suffolks, run by Bob Kimm and his family, has been raising registered Suffolk sheep since the early 1970s, making it one of the longer-running Suffolk programs in the country. The operation is now based in Willow Springs, Missouri, in the heart of the Ozarks, roughly an hour southeast of Springfield.

Bob built the program around a philosophy he calls "Balanced Genetics," selecting animals that combine production records, NSIP EPDs, and carcass scan data with structural soundness and visual appeal. The goal has been to produce Suffolks that serve both the commercial sheep industry and serious youth exhibitors, not simply animals that win under a single judge's eye.

The flock's track record in the show ring is tied largely to the National Lamb Show, a performance and carcass event, where Kimm Suffolks captured multiple progeny pen championships over the years. Bob has also exported Suffolk genetics to Canada, Brazil, Mexico, and the Middle East. In 2014, he was inducted into the United Suffolk Sheep Association Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to the breed.

Suffolk sheep for sale in Missouri from Kimm Suffolks benefit from a program with deep roots in agricultural education — Bob spent three decades as the beef and sheep specialist at Hawkeye Community College in Iowa before relocating the operation to the Ozarks. The program holds an annual production sale and has long supported youth participation in the Suffolk breed.
