Kelli Paulson

Kelli Paulson, Shire horses, Tekamah, NE, Burt County and the Omaha area near Omaha. She has been breeding Shire horses for over a decade with a focus on temperament and structural soundness, and she holds membership in the American Shire Horse Association.

All horses are raised on pasture with daily turnout, and foals receive gentle handling from their first days to encourage confidence. Nutrition is tailored to draft breeds, combining local hay and grains under veterinary guidance. Winter care includes heated stalls and daily barn turnout, while pasture rotation helps maintain grass quality and hoof health.

The farm began as a small family operation and now spans multiple acres with traditional post-and-beam barns. Several Kelli-bred horses have excelled in local draft events and found roles in therapeutic riding programs around the region. She regularly invites credentialed veterinarians for on-site health evaluations and follows breed-specific genetic testing protocols.
