Keel Over Acres

Keel Over Acres raises miniature silky fainting goats in Lumsden, Saskatchewan, about 25 kilometres northwest of Regina. Donnie Courchaine operates the farm as a registered breeder, with goats registered through both the Miniature Silky Fainting Goat Association (MSFGA) and the Myotonic Goat Registry (MGR).

The program brought in bucks imported from the United States specifically to introduce new bloodlines to Canada, with a focus on advancing the breed's presence in the country. When selecting kids for breeding stock, the farm prioritizes those that best conform to MSFGA standards, with particular attention to coat quality and the characteristic extreme bangs that define the silky variety. Kids that do not meet breeding criteria are placed as pets with local families.

Keel Over Acres also raises KuneKune pigs, registered with both AKKPS and AKKPR. For those searching for miniature silky fainting goat breeders in Saskatchewan, the farm represents one of the few dedicated programs of its kind on the Canadian prairies.
