Kachina's Havanese

Kachina's Havanese has been breeding Havanese in New River, Arizona, north of Phoenix, for over 25 years. Sandra Twiss founded the program and has made it something of a family endeavor, working alongside her daughter in both breeding and breed advocacy.

Health screening has been a priority at Kachina's Havanese since before the breed received AKC recognition in 1996, giving the program a particularly long track record with the health side of the breed. The kennel is listed with the AKC and is a member of the Havanese Club of America.

Sandra also co-founded Havanese Rescue, Inc., reflecting a broader commitment to the breed beyond her own breeding program. Puppies are raised in the home, with an emphasis on early socialization.
