JBJ's Portuguese Water Dogs

JBJ's Portuguese Water Dogs breeds Portuguese water dogs in Manchester Township, NJ, in Ocean County and the Philadelphia area. Nina Britton follows American Kennel Club guidelines and the breed club’s recommendations, performing health screens for hips, eyes and cardiac clearances before pairing. Every puppy is DNA screened with a comprehensive panel to reduce inherited risks and ensure transparent lineage records.

The kennel limits litters to a small number each year to ensure personalized care and close health monitoring. Young dogs live indoors with children and other pets, enjoying daily supervised yard time and exposure to household routines. Early introduction to water work, gentle grooming and basic obedience lessons help foster confident, well-rounded companions.
