Jaclyns Classical Collies has been raising collies in Union, Illinois since 2000, operating out of the Francesconi Farm under the care of owner Jacqueline Francesconi. The farm sits on 11 acres in the McHenry County farming community roughly an hour northwest of Chicago.

Health and temperament are the program's stated priorities ahead of show competition. All breeding stock is DNA tested for CEA, PRA, DM, and MDR1, and the program aims to produce dogs that are normal-eyed or non-carriers for hereditary eye conditions.
