Hunter and Dally Testerman established the farm in 2019, carrying forward a family tradition of Virginia agriculture — the name itself honors that heritage, with "Jac" and "Lin" drawn from family names passed down through generations.

The farm maintains a registered herd of myotonic goats through the Myotonic Goat Registry and has worked alongside other local breeders to develop a herd that offers variety in color, hair length, and conformation. Jaclin Farms also raises registered North Country Cheviot sheep, with that program in place since 2021.
