Ivy Hills Havanese

Ivy Hills Havanese has been breeding havanese in Guilford, Indiana since 2005, when Jennifer Clevenger established the program after years of experience on a thoroughbred horse farm in the region. Guilford sits in southeastern Indiana, roughly an hour from Cincinnati, Ohio.

The program traces back to a single foundation dog, CH Simcox's Saving Grace, whose structure and temperament set the standard for every litter produced since. Jennifer has noted that this dog's lineage runs through all havanese puppies the kennel has produced. Show results have reinforced the program's breeding selections — one of the kennel's dogs finished her AKC Championship at the Havanese National Championship in 2018 and earned a first Award of Merit at the 2019 Havanese National.

Health testing for breeding dogs includes annual eye CERF evaluations, BAER hearing tests, hip and elbow radiograph assessments, patella checks, and cardiac certification. Jennifer is a member of the Havanese Club of America and holds AKC Breeder of Merit status, reflecting a commitment to breed standards and documented health practices for anyone searching for havanese puppies in Indiana.
