Huggins Ranch

Huggins Ranch, Hereford cattle, Portage UT, Box Elder County and the Great Salt Lake region near Salt Lake City. The operation has been raising Hereford cattle for over two decades with memberships in regional breed associations and routine hoof and genetic health screenings.

Animals graze on open pastures with shaded shelters and are socialized daily to support calm temperaments. Rotational grazing, spring-fed water sources and mineral supplements are used to maintain herd health through all seasons. Records of breeding, calving and herd performance are maintained digitally to inform selection decisions. Winter calving takes place in a heated barn designed for comfort and biosecurity.

Huggins Ranch also collaborates with local fairs where its cattle have consistently placed well in breed conformation classes. The ranch’s focus on balanced selection aims to enhance maternal traits and beef quality, reflecting a commitment to each animal’s well-being.
