Hillcrest Farm, Hereford cattle, Canaan, NH, Grafton County and the Upper Valley near Lebanon. Hillcrest Farm is a third-generation operation with over 25 years of Hereford breeding experience and membership in the American Hereford Association. Each breeding cow undergoes regular veterinary health screening, including Johne’s testing and BVD screening, and calves are raised on rotational pasture with balanced forage and mineral supplementation. Their calves are socialized from birth, accustomed to daily handling and early herd integration.

On-site facilities include spring-calving stalls and climate-monitored calving pens to ensure comfort and safety. The farm’s bloodlines trace back to several national show champions, and many of their steers have earned top ribbons at state fairs. A recent review noted their approachable demeanor and willingness to share breeding records. Sustainable pasture management and rotational grazing practices support soil health and contribute to the region’s agricultural heritage.
