Joanne Sackett started the program after her own Havanese served as a support dog, an experience that led her to work with established breeders before launching her own hobby breeding operation.

All breeding dogs are fully registered with the AKC, and the program holds accreditation through both the AKC and Good Dog, with every breeding dog meeting the health testing standards required by both organizations. Champion bloodlines are part of the breeding stock, including sires from Camelot lines.

Families looking for Havanese puppies in Florida can visit in person, as the dogs and puppies are raised in a home environment. Pickup is available in the Villages and Orlando area, and Joanne also boards Havanese for families she has placed with, reflecting the ongoing relationship she maintains with puppy owners after they bring a dog home.
