Green Acres Village
Green Acres Village raises fainting (myotonic) goats on a restored farm property in Roach, Missouri, situated in the Lake of the Ozarks region near Osage Beach. Owner Debra Brayton established the property in the fall of 2006, and the farm took shape through the construction of full-range grazing pastures and the restoration of original barn and outbuildings before the goat program got underway.
The focus at Green Acres Village is breed preservation with an eye toward improved conformation. Deb works with breeder stock carrying grand champion bloodlines, aiming to maintain the integrity of the original myotonic lineage while refining the physical qualities of each generation. Those looking for fainting goats for sale in Missouri will find that the herd is developed with specific visual traits in mind, including varied coloration and distinctive markings, polled animals, blue eyes, and moon spots.
