Grapevine Goldens raises golden retrievers in Loogootee, Indiana, a rural community in the southern part of the state about an hour northwest of Bloomington. The program is run by Jamie Bell, whose husband is the fifth generation of his family to live on the farm that gives the kennel its name — the road to the property was long known locally as Grapevine Road.

The breeding program has roots going back over a decade, with the first litter arriving in 2013 after years spent learning the breed and showing dogs in performance events.
