Grace Ranch

Grace Ranch, run by Chris and Staci Thibodeaux, raises Brahman cattle on more than 1,100 acres in the Jennings area of southwest Louisiana, roughly an hour east of Lake Charles. What began as a small acreage with a few horses and a shared dream has grown into a diversified working ranch that buyers of Brahman cattle in Louisiana have traveled from as far as Texas, Alabama, and Tennessee to visit.

The cattle program keeps the Brahman female at its foundation, branching out into registered purebred Brahman, F1 Golden Certified Brangus, and Braford crosses alongside a commercial herd. Angus, Hereford, and Charlais bulls are used in deliberate crosses, with the overall goal of producing cattle that combine robust health, a gentle temperament, and strong productivity. The ranch also maintains a small herd of show-quality Jersey cows, added after the family's youngest daughter began competing in Louisiana 4-H shows.

Cattle at Grace Ranch graze on open pasture with continuous access to ranch-baled hay, minerals, and fresh water, supplemented with locally sourced grain as needed. Growth hormones and antibiotics are not used. The land itself — a mix of green pastures, hayfields, rice paddies, and crawfish ponds rotated annually — reflects the ranch's broader commitment to sustainable land management across its southwest Louisiana acreage.
