Gentletouch

Gentletouch is a small in-home ragdoll cattery run by Marina Agapov in Kent, Washington, in the Kent Valley south of Seattle. The cattery is registered with TICA and has sourced breeding cats from international lines, including cats from Hungary, Norway, Canada, and Germany.

Health testing is a central part of the program: breeding cats are DNA tested for HCM and blood tested for FeLV and FIV. The focus when selecting pairings is health, personality, and conformation to the breed standard. Kittens are raised underfoot in a home environment, with consistent handling and attention from an early age to encourage sociability.

Gentletouch keeps litter numbers low by design, producing fewer litters per year to maintain close, individual attention to each kitten. The cattery does not ship, so ragdoll kittens from this program are available to families in Washington state and the greater Seattle area who can visit in person.
