Flying D Kennels

Flying D Kennels raises Australian cattle dogs and German shepherd dogs out of Fairview, in the rural northwest corner of Oklahoma, roughly an hour southeast of Woodward.

Run by Kristy Dykes, the kennel has been producing purpose-driven Australian cattle dogs for over ten years on a small family farm of more than 160 acres. The program's focus spans show, working, sport, and companion homes, with the intent of breeding versatile ACDs that hold up in any role their owners choose. Adult dogs are health tested and OFA CHIC certified, and puppies receive personality evaluations before placement to help match each dog to the right home. Flying D also maintains compliance with AKC inspection and care standards, meaning dogs, living spaces, and records have been reviewed by an AKC representative.

The kennel breeds to AKC breed standards and socializes puppies with children from birth. Dogs are raised within a multi-generational breeding program, and the kennel has produced AKC conformation champions from its own lines.
