Fainting Pointers
Fainting Pointers is a breeder of fainting (myotonic) goats in Prentice, WI, in Price County and the Northwoods near Wausau. Owner Caitlin C. Holub has cared for these hardy goats for more than a decade, following health protocols with regular hoof trimming, vaccination schedules and annual veterinary exams at a local clinic.
Kids grow up on pasture and in a clean, spacious barn where they receive daily handling and early socialization to develop their calm and curious nature. Holub manages a mixed-use homestead, integrating rotational grazing practices that support soil health and provide a varied diet rich in native grasses and browse. These goats are appreciated for their gentle disposition and striking coats that shed seasonally without the need for shearing, making them low-maintenance and well-suited to family farms. Interest in community outreach led Holub to host local educational workshops, sharing hands-on experience in goat husbandry and care with neighbors and small-farm enthusiasts.
