Fade to Grey Farm

Fade to Grey Farm raises Connemara ponies and Connemara sport horses in Luthersville, Georgia, about an hour southwest of Atlanta in Coweta County. The program has roots going back to 2003, when owner Megan Buchanan Harris and her mother began breeding ponies under the Brambleridge prefix, eventually focusing exclusively on Connemaras and Connemara crosses before Megan established Fade to Grey Farm on her own property in 2010.

The breeding program centers on producing athletes suited to eventing and foxhunting, with a particular emphasis on crossing halfbred Connemara mares with Irish Sport Horse and Thoroughbred stallions to develop horses that carry the gallop and stamina of the Thoroughbred alongside the hardiness, intelligence, and sure-footedness of the pony. The farm's purebred Connemara stallion, *TBS Declan Pondi, was imported directly from Ireland and has introduced notable jumping bloodlines to the program. Fade to Grey Farm and neighboring Brambleridge Farm share a combined 50-plus acres, and the Brambleridge prefix continues to appear on all youngstock bred there.

Megan has served multiple terms on the American Connemara Pony Society Board of Governors, including as Vice President, and was instrumental in establishing the ACPS Connemara Sport Horse registry in 2015, which allows quarter-Connemara horses with documented lineage to be recognized within the breed society.
