Em Brook Angus

Em Brook Angus raises purebred black Angus cattle in Schellsburg, Pennsylvania, set among the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in south-central PA, roughly an hour southeast of Altoona. The operation is a family affair, run by Rick and Barb Emerick alongside their two sons, Richie and Ryan, and their families.

The farm breeds purebred Angus for both seedstock and commercial producers, making it a destination for those seeking registered black Angus cattle in Pennsylvania. Em Brook Angus has participated in collaborative production sales alongside neighboring Angus operations in the region, and the farm was recognized as one of the top ten recorders of Angus cattle in Pennsylvania by the American Angus Association. In addition to its seedstock program, the farm runs a direct farm-to-consumer freezer beef program featuring grass-fed beef with a natural finish.
