Dudley Bros.

Dudley Bros. has been raising registered horned Hereford cattle on the native range lands of Comanche, Texas since 1938, making it one of the longer-running Hereford programs in Central Texas, roughly two hours southwest of Fort Worth.

Run by Larry Ellis and Sherri Ellis as a family-owned operation, the ranch has focused for generations on producing practical, adaptable bulls and females suited to the commercial cattleman. Hereford cattle for sale in Texas from this program are drawn from a herd bull battery sourced from sought-after genetics across the country, with new sire prospects added each year to keep the program current.

An annual Fall Production Bull Sale held every October at the ranch headquarters has been a fixture since 1962, and the ranch has moved more than 7,500 two-year-old bulls through those auctions over the decades. Sale bulls are fertility tested and bangs tested within 30 days of the event. Ranch-raised females are offered by private treaty in the spring.
