Doyle Hereford Ranch
Doyle Hereford Ranch has been raising registered Hereford cattle in Wolfe City, Texas since 1964, making it one of the longer-running Hereford programs in Northeast Texas, roughly an hour northeast of Dallas.
Founded by Dale Doyle and his son Mike Doyle, the ranch has remained a family operation across generations. In 2014, the ranch was honored as a Golden Breeder by the American Hereford Association in recognition of 50 years in the Hereford business. The ranch is also a member of the Texas Hereford Association.
Bulls are typically developed on 100 acres of pasture or more, and females are bred to low-birth-weight bulls with a target calving age of 24 to 26 months. The ranch runs both a fall and spring breeding program. Its location in Northeast Texas, east of Interstate 35, has proven well suited to buyers across the state, and the ranch counts repeat customers among West Texas ranchers who return year after year for registered Hereford bulls for sale in Texas. Show heifers for FFA students are also a regular part of what the program produces.
