Dovestone Farm
Dovestone Farm raises purebred registered fainting (myotonic) goats in Raymond, Minnesota, a small community in the west central part of the state near Willmar and roughly midway between Minneapolis and the South Dakota border.
Run by Deb Bush, the farm takes a deliberate approach to herd quality. Bucklings that are not considered likely to strengthen the myotonic breed are wethered rather than kept intact, reflecting a selective standard for what leaves as breeding stock. Kids offered for breeding are registered with MGR before leaving the farm.
Health testing is a consistent part of the program. Goats over one year of age are tested for CL, CAE, and Johne's disease, and kids are de-wormed, have their hooves trimmed, and receive their first two CDT vaccinations before going to new homes. Health records accompany each animal at the time of pickup. Dovestone Farm is a source for fainting goats for sale in Minnesota for buyers who want documented health history and registered animals.
