Dog Dynasty

Dog Dynasty has been raising miniature dachshunds in Metropolis, Illinois since 2006, when Steve and Tammy Laird founded the program in the southernmost tip of the state, not far from Paducah, Kentucky. Now with a second generation involved, the program has grown into a full-time operation spanning nearly two decades of miniature dachshund breeding.

All dogs in the program are AKC and CKC registered, and the breeding stock is genetically tested for PRA, with full-panel and color-panel testing also underway. Each puppy goes home microchipped, and detailed records are kept on every dog to track how they produce and catch any health concerns early.

The dachshunds at Dog Dynasty are raised as part of the family rather than in a commercial kennel setting, living with the Lairds or their extended family. The program covers all coat types and colors in the miniature variety, making it a resource for families across the region searching for miniature dachshund puppies in Illinois or the surrounding Midwest.
