Dale Boomgarden

Dale Boomgarden breeds Hereford cattle in Stillman Valley, Illinois, in Ogle County and the Rock River area near Rockford. He has been raising Hereford cattle for more than a decade under American Hereford Association guidelines and holds active membership in local livestock associations along with routine veterinary health screenings and genetic testing for both horned and polled lines.

Calves and adults share spacious, well-drained pastures interspersed with shade trees and spring-fed water sources and receive daily handling to build confidence and calm temperaments. After years of selecting for fertility and structural soundness, the farm’s breeding stock has performed well in regional shows and multigeneration family homesteads. The operation grew from a small family ranch and continues under guiding values passed through generations.
