Circle W Farms raises huacaya alpacas on a small farm in Julian, North Carolina, in the Piedmont Triad region about 20 minutes east of Greensboro. Terry and Anita Wiederholt run the operation with a deliberate focus on keeping the herd manageable and each generation better than the last.

Their breeding program centers on improving conformation, fleece density, uniformity, and lasting fineness through careful selection. While the herd carries a variety of colors, the Wiederholts have a particular focus on black and grey animals. Herdsires in the program carry bloodlines that include appaloosa genetics and lineage tracing back to well-regarded Accoyo and Snowmass lines.

Beyond raising alpacas for sale, Circle W Farms offers boarding for those who want to own alpacas before their own facilities are ready, along with mentoring and stud services.
