Cavan Cairn Farm raises Wagyu cattle in Salt Point, NY, in Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley near Poughkeepsie. Kevin Halton has kept quality bloodlines for more than a decade and follows American Wagyu Association guidelines for breeding and health testing. Each breeding animal carries verified pedigree certificates to ensure transparent lineage. The herd grazes on rotational pastures maintained without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, and calves grow alongside their mothers in spacious open fields.

Animals receive daily handling from an early age to support calm temperaments and ease of management. Stock is offered to local and regional farms, with an emphasis on natural marbling and balanced genetics. Visits to the farm are welcome by appointment, allowing prospective buyers to observe herd health protocols and discuss specific breeding goals. A local large-animal veterinarian conducts monthly herd visits and tailors nutritional plans to each stage of growth.
