Carneys Havanese Haven, run by Jacqueline Carney, is a boutique Havanese breeder based in southeast Michigan, near the Detroit suburb of Birmingham. Breeding dogs since 2002, Jacqueline began with English shepherds before transitioning to Havanese after several years of careful research, including attending dog shows and meeting breeders across the country.

All breeding dogs must pass hearing evaluations via the BAER test, eye certification (CERF), and screenings for heart, hips, and elbows before they are bred, and both parents carry the CHIC health rating.
