Cabezon Mastiffs

Cabezon Mastiffs has been raising mastiffs in Kingman, Arizona since 2006, with Breanne Hernandez at the helm of a program that spans both the show ring and the family home. Kingman sits in Mohave County along the historic Route 66 corridor, roughly 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas, placing the kennel in a corner of the Mojave Desert with a long reach into the broader Southwest market for mastiff puppies in Arizona.

The program carries an AKC Breeder of Merit designation, and health testing is a consistent part of how dogs are evaluated before breeding. Individual dogs have undergone PennHIP and OFA screenings for hips, elbows, cardiac function, patella, and shoulders, along with DNA testing for cystinuria and PRA, reflecting a methodical approach to genetic health.

Conformation success has been a thread through Cabezon's history. One of the kennel's dogs, GCH Cabezon's Cuppa Joe, earned Best of Opposite Sex at the Mastiff Club of America National Specialty in 2025, and earlier dogs produced by the program accumulated multiple championship titles across AKC and other registries.
