Bullis Creek Ranch

Bullis Creek Ranch raises Limousin, LimFlex, and Red Angus cattle in the rolling Sandhills of North Central Nebraska, south of Wood Lake near Valentine. The ranch is a multi-generational family operation, owned and run by Rob and Brenda Brawner alongside Rob's parents Quentin and Anita, with roots that trace back to southwestern Montana before the family relocated to Nebraska in 1997.

The Brawner family's history with Limousin cattle for sale in Nebraska stretches back to 1971, when Quentin started a purebred Limousin herd after finding the breed well-suited to the demanding calving conditions of rugged hill country. Ease of calving, vigor at birth, and efficient forage conversion were the traits that first drew the family to the breed, and those priorities continue to shape the program today. A purebred herd was built to produce bulls for the commercial cowherd, and as neighboring ranchers took notice, the seedstock side of the operation gradually grew.

The ranch runs as a range and grass-cake outfit, with cows receiving hay fewer than 90 days a year. Because the terrain in the "chop hills" of Cherry County is unforgiving, structural soundness is a non-negotiable selection criterion for every animal in the herd. Rob and Brenda place particular emphasis on docility, feed efficiency, and structural correctness, and the program is openly performance-oriented, with EPD-based selection guiding breeding decisions. Bulls developed here are intended to be rugged enough to work in any environment across the country.
