Brush Creek Swissys raises greater Swiss mountain dogs on a working farm in Phillipsburg, Missouri, situated in the Ozarks about 45 miles east of Springfield. Brigitte Rhinehart, a native of Switzerland, has been involved with the breed since 1987 and began actively breeding Swissys in the early 1990s after she and her husband settled in the Missouri Ozarks in 1989.

The farm spans 179 rolling acres, roughly 140 of which are open pasture, giving the dogs room to move across a landscape of fields, scattered oak groves, and fenced grounds around the main house and barn. Brigitte manages the greater Swiss mountain dog program as her own domain within the broader farm operation, overseeing everything from whelping to placement.

Her credentials within the breed community run deep. Brigitte has served as a past board member, recording secretary, and first vice president of the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club of America, the AKC-recognized parent club for the breed, and has held treasurer roles for multiple Swissy clubs. She also co-owns Swissys with other breeders and owners across the country, taking responsibility for puppy placement from all co-owned females.
