The herd grazes year-round on Coastal Bermuda and Bahia grasses, with Coastal Bermuda and Bahia hay through the winter months. Steers are kept in pastures alongside the registered beefalo herd from which they were born, reflecting a low-intervention, grass-fed approach to animal husbandry.
