Brandon Ames

Brandon Ames, Hereford cattle, Laporte, IN, La Porte County and the Michiana region near South Bend, is a dedicated breeder raising hardy beef cattle. Backed by more than ten years of herd management, he follows American Hereford Association guidelines and conducts regular veterinary screenings alongside routine genetic health testing.

His pastures are managed through rotational grazing to promote natural foraging, complemented by balanced mineral supplementation and constant access to fresh water. Calves experience daily handling to build gentle temperaments, and open-sided barns with deep-bedded pens ensure comfort throughout all seasons. Each cow-calf pair calve on well-maintained pastures in early spring with minimal intervention. All cattle belong to a closed-herd program to minimize external disease exposure.
