Bluegrass Acres Farm

Bluegrass Acres Farm, run by Alexander Gordash, raises mini alpine and Nigerian dwarf dairy goats in Sequim, Washington, on the Olympic Peninsula about 70 miles northwest of Port Angeles and within easy reach of the greater Seattle area.

The farm keeps both breeds registered through two national organizations: the Mini Dairy Goat Association (MDGA) and the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). Alexander started with mini alpines before adding Nigerian dwarfs to the herd, and the operation has remained small and hands-on throughout.

Those looking for Nigerian dwarf goats or mini alpines for sale in Washington will find a dual-breed program focused on compact, productive dairy animals suited to family homesteads. Mini alpines, a cross between the standard alpine and the Nigerian dwarf, are valued for their efficiency on feed relative to their milk output, while the Nigerian dwarfs in the herd are kept for their manageable size and the richness of their milk.
