Benjamin Forest Farm is home to carefully bred cashmere goats in Athens, GA, in the North Georgia region near Atlanta. Gareth Crosby has been raising goats for several years and is active in local goat breeder associations, following recommended health screenings and vaccination protocols. The herd benefits from rotational grazing, a blend of orchard grass hay and mineral-fortified pellets, regular hoof trimming, annual veterinary exams and targeted parasite control.

Their goats graze on rotational pastures bordered by hardwood woods and receive daily handling to foster calm, friendly temperaments. Fleeces are evaluated each spring and prized by local spinners for a consistently fine undercoat, with records kept on fiber length and down diameter. A small demonstration barn on the property provides insight into sustainable fiber production.
