Owner Frank Leatherbury is an AKC Master Judge and trainer with more than 40 years of experience, and the property itself carries deep roots — his father founded Belle Shain in 1958, inspired by a fish camp his grandfather purchased in 1939. The farm is a registered historic property in Baldwin County, spanning 34 acres where dogs have access to both land and water.

The operation blends breeding with a serious performance and training program, with particular enthusiasm for retrievers and Spinoni as sporting breeds.
