Bear Valley Pomeranians raises Pomeranians in Lone Rock, Wisconsin, a rural community in the southwestern part of the state near Spring Green and about an hour northwest of Madison.

All dogs live inside the home full time, with access to a large fenced backyard, rather than in outdoor or kennel facilities. The program's emphasis is on sound conformation, good health, and outgoing temperament.

Foundation females were selected from the Showin Poms bloodline, recognized internationally for producing champion-quality Pomeranians. A distinguishing focus of the breeding program is the wolf sable gene, which appears throughout multiple dogs' pedigrees, and color genetics are confirmed through UC Davis testing. Russian and Thai bloodlines have also been introduced with the goal of producing puppies with a full, heavy coat. Blue merle, parti, and chocolate merle color lines round out the program alongside the wolf sable dogs.

Puppies are AKC registerable and are raised with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. Bear Valley Pomeranians also breeds dachshunds.
