B Bar Farm

B Bar Farm is a breeder of Tunis sheep in Noxapater, MS, in east-central Mississippi near Jackson. It has been breeding Tunis sheep for more than ten years, participating in national registry programs and carrying out routine health screenings to support strong genetics.

The flock grazes on rotational pastures and has constant access to shelter and fresh water, allowing animals to follow natural grazing patterns. Lambs receive gentle handling from the first days of life to encourage calm temperaments. The farm's focus on fiber quality and gentle care is often highlighted by local wool artisans, who value the consistency of the breed's fine fleece.

Owner Cynthia Bixby runs the farm from a historic homestead, integrating sustainable pasture management and soil conservation into daily routines. Her small-scale flock allows personalized attention to each ewe and lamb, reinforcing healthy development and strong maternal bonds.
