Autumnsun Golden Retrievers

Autumnsun Golden Retrievers raises AKC golden retrievers in Ashfield, Massachusetts, in the eastern foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. The program is run by Jill Kelly, whose family has been breeding and showing goldens since 1970, with Jill personally active in the conformation ring since 1995.

The kennel's champion lines trace back to a Show Dog Hall of Fame male who ranked 5th in the nation in the golden retriever category in 2005 and 7th in the all-breed category, with additional recognition including multiple Group and Best in Specialty Show wins and an Award of Excellence at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. Autumnsun has also competed at Westminster. Jill is a member of the Golden Retriever Club of America and the Mile High Golden Retriever Club.

The program focuses on a particular style of golden: larger-boned, boxy in build, with light to medium coats and sound temperaments. All dogs are raised indoors as part of a family household on open property surrounded by farm fields in the Pioneer Valley, roughly an hour and a half west of Boston.
