Angie Dobbins - Portneuf Range Pyrenees

Portneuf Range Pyrenees raises great Pyrenees in Pocatello, Idaho, in the shadow of the Portneuf Range mountains of southeastern Idaho, not far from Idaho Falls. Angie Dobbins started the program after welcoming her first great Pyrenees, Abe and Lydia, into the family in October 2013.

The dogs at Portneuf Range Pyrenees serve a dual role: they live as loved members of the household while also working in the pasture alongside sheep as active livestock guardians. The program breeds AKC-registered great Pyrenees, with puppies pre-registered so new owners receive pedigree documentation without the extra paperwork. Hip and elbow health has been a priority, with select dogs in the program's lineage having been OFA-tested for dysplasia. Breeding stock includes dogs sourced from as far as Vancouver, British Columbia, broadening the genetic background of the program. Notably, some pups in the line descend from the AKC-titled dog known as Freedom Farmz Angel Gabriel, a name associated with Hollywood-featured dogs.
